Justina Kolbe is a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner. She specializes in child and adolescent therapy and has worked on an intensive care inpatient unit for children and adolescents. She spent her internship working with children, adolescents, and families in an outpatient facility. Justina is passionate about the use of play therapy and uses these techniques when developmentally appropriate. Play therapy allows her to communicate and connect with children using their language…playing and toys! She also uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and psychodynamic therapeutic techniques.
She provides a therapeutic environment that is direct, safe, interactive, and supportive. She enjoys working with parents and families on parenting obstacles, divorce, and helping them find and maintain a healthy and happy balance for their family. She tailors her approach to meet each individual families needs and concerns.
Justina received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the The University of South Dakota in 2009. She went on to receive her Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Dakota in 2012.
Justina is a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors, American Counseling Association, and is a Certified Professional Counselor. She is also working toward receiving her Registered Play Therapist credentialing.
Justina is currently accepting new clients; individuals, couples and families. She is on the following insurance panels: Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Midlands Choice, UHC, Coventry, MHNet, and Aetna. Justina also sees clients who are self-pay, please call the office for rates.
